Our Success Stories: Ridges Southbank, Townsville & Dyno Nobel, Moranbah
At Ridges Southbank, Townsville, we designed and installed a comprehensive CCTV system of 61 IP cameras across three buildings.
We installed all new Cat 6 cabling and point-to-point radio links to create an independent network (to keep CCTV traffic separate from hotel operations). As part of the project, some sections required sharing of the internal hotel network. Voltec Services established a VLAN to ensure the CCTV traffic was safely separated.
At Dyno Nobel, Moranbah, we upgraded the CCTV system with 18 PTZ cameras accompanied by a Lenovo server with RAID 5 capability. This CCTV network was designed to be air-gapped from the site network and the outside internet. This was achieved through utilising separate fibre optic cabling throughout the site and independent network switches at each network location. We enhanced existing coax cabling with ethernet-over-coax adaptors and installed a new NX Witness VMS for future expansion.
