Our Success Stories: Pajingo Gold Mine, Charters Towers Region
At Pajingo Gold Mine in Charters Towers, we designed and installed a portable solar unit for the Tailings Dam.
The system needed mobility due to the changing shape of the dam wall — a concrete block with lifting lugs served as the base, allowing for easy relocation. Fitted with a PTZ camera, the unit offered comprehensive coverage of the area, with all footage accessible from the operator’s room. This connected to the processing plant via a point-to-point radio link, with an onboard SD card ensuring no footage was lost during link interruptions. The solar panel and battery system were designed to maintain operation for up to three days without sunlight.
